Computer Information Systems is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to become Certified Netware Administrators, work with Internet, and troubleshoot computers. Training is given in microcomputer operating systems, basic networking skills, computer repair and troubleshooting skills, and Internet knowledge. Graduates are qualified to work installing networks, maintaining networks and administrating them, working with Internet and on-line services and computer repair.

Arkansas Tech University - Ozark Campus offers a technical certificate in Computer Information Systems (36 hours) and an associate of applied technology in general technology with an option in Computer Information Systems (60 hours).

This course is two semesters plus two summer terms in length. Students will be asked to take a NOCTI competency test before graduation.
